Apple drops Mac virus immunity claims

Due to recent Flashback Trojan virus that infected many Macs running OS X, Apple has changed their website. Until now, they have always claimed to be virus free. If you have ever talked to a Mac fan I’m sure they happily rubbed your nose in that nonsense. The funny part is that they probably have spyware that they are unaware of.

The real fact is that there are not as many viruses that target OS X and it is a relatively secure platform. However, hundreds of thousands of users have been infected by the Flashback Trojan. The virus even creates a false “Apple-signed” Java certificate. Users are prompted to click “continue” and then the virus happily installs itself.
